"In the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the theatre of life. Every movement is a calculated play for survival."
Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, but it ranks first for those seeking the raw, unedited African wilderness. Dominated by the valley of the Tarangire River, the landscape is dotted with massive Baobab trees that have stood since the Middle Ages.
During the dry season (June to October), the park hosts a mini-migration that rivals the Serengeti. Thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and buffaloes converge on the river, followed closely by Tarangire's famous lions and leopards.
